Central Park All Stars FC is committed to providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment for every child and young person involved with the club.
The welfare of children is our priority. Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone involved in CPA FC, including coaches, volunteers, parents and carers. Concerns about a child’s welfare will always be taken seriously and acted upon appropriately.
If you are worried about the welfare of a child or young person, or about the behaviour of an adult towards a child, please report your concern.
You do not need to be certain that something is wrong. If something does not feel right, it is better to raise it.
The Club Welfare Officer is the first point of contact for parents, carers, players and club officials who have a safeguarding or welfare concern.

If the Club Welfare Officer is unavailable, or the concern is serious, concerns can also be raised directly with the County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer, The FA Safeguarding Team, Police, Children’s Social Care or the NSPCC.
DBS & Safer Recruitment
Relevant coaches, managers and volunteers working with children are required to have the appropriate FA-accepted DBS checks and safeguarding requirements in place.
Safeguarding Training
We expect those working with children and young people to understand their safeguarding responsibilities and to maintain the training required for their role.
Safe Supervision
CPA FC is committed to appropriate supervision at club-organised activities and to making sure children are supported by suitably checked and trained adults.
Child-Centred Culture
Children and young people should feel safe, listened to and respected. Their welfare comes first, and their views should be considered in decisions that affect them.
CPA FC expects everyone involved with the club to help create a positive, respectful and inclusive environment. Poor behaviour, bullying, discrimination and abuse are not acceptable.
Players, coaches, parents and spectators should use respectful and positive language, accept the decisions of match officials and treat others as they would want to be treated.
Football is for everyone. CPA FC has zero tolerance for discrimination and expects everyone to be treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
We want football to be enjoyable for children and young people. Adults should encourage effort, development and fair play, and avoid criticism or behaviour that puts unnecessary pressure on players.
CPA FC supports The FA Grassroots Code, which sets out the standards of behaviour expected from players, coaches, parents, spectators and everyone involved in grassroots football.
The focus is simple: enjoy the game, give respect, be inclusive and work together.
ENJOY THE GAME
Keep football positive, fun and focused on children.
GIVE RESPECT
Use positive language and respect officials, coaches, opponents and each other.
BE INCLUSIVE
Football is for everyone. Discrimination has no place at CPA FC.
WORK TOGETHER
Support players, encourage effort and help create a positive team environment.
